Do You Enjoy Eating Mussels? Here Are Three Ways To Try Them

If you are one of the millions of people worldwide who love seafood, you know that a wide variety of seafood is available for consumption. Shellfish is one of the many variations of seafood that people like. There are two different types of shellfish. Mollusks and bivalves. Mussels originate from the bivalves category. There are several different ways to prepare and cook mussels for your next dinner or meal. Let us delve further into how to prepare your mussels.

Cook your mussels with these methods.

Steamed Mussels

The most common way people cook mussels is by steaming them. This method is often the most used in various restaurants across the world. Usually, they are steamed with other shellfish. For flavor, you can also cook mussels with ingredients such as garlic and white wine.

Grilled Mussels

We’ve previously covered the best types of fish to grill, but grilled mussels are also another tempting option. Grilling mussels provide you with a healthier alternative than other grilled red meats. People often grill mussels with salt, pepper, and lemon wedges.

Roasted Mussells

Roasting mussels in the oven is a great and simple idea to cook them. With a cast iron style type of pan, you can achieve this. Or, you can use a baking sheet if you don’t have a cast iron pan. You can also season them with parsley, lemon, and black pepper. Baking your mussels might seem the most basic method, but it is still the most effective.
