History

In 1812, Fort McHenry mounted a significant defense against British troops to protect the freedom and liberty of the United States of America. Meanwhile, a smaller land Battle was occurring on the East Side of Baltimore, not far from the location of Costas Inn Restaurant. The Battle of Northpoint helped propel America’s conquest in the War of 1812. The country remained free and, as such, destined to become the land of opportunity.

Costas N. Triantafilos and Tsambika Kefalas, Greek citizens, arrived to the United States and, in so doing, joining a cast of millions that immigrated to the country to realize the “American Dream.” Costas married Tsambika Kefalas and a union was formed that remains the guiding force behind Costas Inn.

Do You Know What Calamari Is?In 1971, the property known today as Costas Inn was purchased and, thus, began a commitment to excellence and quality that has now exceeded a quarter of a century. For over 50 years, Costas Inn continues to be family owned and operated, serving a variety of tastefully prepared entrees, which are only comprised of the freshest and highest quality ingredients available. In addition, we now offer off-site catering services and supply some of your favorite supermarkets with Costa’s own Seafood seasoning!

Simple Ways to Cook Your Next Batch of CrabsAll Crabs at Costas Inn are flown in daily to ensure only the freshest Louisiana and Texas Gulf delicacies are served at your table. Once they arrive at Baltimore-Washington International Airport they are immediately transported to our door where they will go through an immense sorting process. All Crabs are hand sorted (over 11,000 crabs are sorted per week) by size and weight to its specific price specification. Once sorted Crabs are skillfully steamed to order and served by our friendly staff. Each crab embodies the excellence and quality Costas Inn strives for in creating what we hope will be an enjoyable dining experience.

Welcome once again to CostasInn.com. We hope that on your next afternoon or evening out, you will give us the opportunity to make your visit or event as enjoyable as possible.  The entire family and staff of Costas Inn thank you for your continued support and look forward supplying the excellence and quality that you have come to expect.
