On A Gluten Free Diet? Use These Tips For Your Next Fish Fry

Eating enjoyable foods can be challenging for those on a gluten-free diet. Gluten is from the protein family found in wheat, barley, and rye. Gluten-free diets are beneficial because they can increase your energy levels, aid weight loss, and improve overall health. However, you can still enjoy tasty foods while on a gluten-free diet. For example, some helpful ideas are listed below for a gluten-free fish fry

Prioritize A Golden Like Appearance

Like baked goods, many foods rely on gluten to improve their quality. Luckily, fish is meat and does not require gluten to be cooked. Frying fish is similar to frying chicken. As your chicken is frying, it is best to monitor it to prevent your fish from overcooking. It would be best if you always were sure to use appropriate heating settings, as well as using higher amounts can contribute to you overcooking and burning your fish.

Your Fish Batter Is Also A Critical Element

There are many recipes and variations used when mixing fish batter. For a simple gluten-free recipe, combine one cup of gluten-free flour, one cup of gluten-free cornstarch, black pepper, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Add your desired liquid if you use a beer-battered method, for example. And stir all of your ingredients for your desired consistency.

Now It’s Time To Fry Your Fish

It would be best to have a smooth batter that is a little runny but saturates the spoon after combining all of your ingredients. To achieve the ideal consistency, add more liquid if it is too dry. When cooking oil is ready, carefully place the fish pieces in the oil after dredging them through the batter to coat both sides. Fry your fish for at least three to four minutes on both sides.
