No Need For A Fork

Many people use forks when eating oysters; however, it is not necessary. Don’t be afraid to slurp them right out of their shell. Many people refrain from doing this because they feel awkward doing so. Be confident about it and leave the fork for other parts of your seafood meal! The only rule of caution is to be careful when slurping them down whole. It is recommended to chew your oysters to prevent choking.

Don’t Be Afraid To Experiment With Condiments

There are a few condiments that commonly used on raw oysters. This list includes hot sauce, lemon, tartar sauce, vinegar, and cocktail sauce. It is important to realize that there are no rules to what you top your oysters with. It is all just a matter of preference. If you are new to eating oysters, experiment with the different condiments to see which one you most prefer. There are plenty of people who even believe oysters are so delicious on their own and therefore don’t even use condiments.
