How to Combine Crab with Other Tasty Proteins

What other proteins go well with Costas Inn’s delectable crab meat? Learn some ideas below!

Take a second to think about how you could elevate your palette. What are some of your favorite cuts of meat and catches of seafood? Well, we bet you didn’t know that you could make them into an unbelievably delicious tag team of spectacular and succulent flavor. Steak, pork, chicken, even the meats we can serve you from our in-house pit-smoker are just downright fantastic on their own. That said, it’s time to get a little creative!

Filet Mignon + Lump Crab Meat

Let’s get into it with a gorgeous steak and one of the most popular ways to form a crab cake patty – jumbo lump. Surf-and-turf is one of the best ways to treat yourself and marries the juiciness of the steak with the subtle sweetness of the crab. The best part is that it doesn’t call for much seasoning, either.

A Crab Cake Sandwich Loaded with Bacon

Lovers of BLT (bacon, lettuce, and tomato) sandwiches will get a kick out of this pairing. Bacon adds another dimension of crunchiness and a delightful hit of salt. Crab cake sandwiches don’t need to be plain, either. Just load it up with the usual fillings for a BLT to take your taste buds on a true vacation.

Chicken Breasts Packed with Crab Dip

Want another way to prepare those chicken breasts waiting in your fridge? Pack them with crab dip! All you need to do is to butterfly the meat open and put in a scoop or two of crab dip, and then close it up before you pop them in the oven. Make sure to choose thicker crab dip for the best results.

A Saucy Crab and Sausage Soup

Late winter has its fair share of unexpectedly warm days. Take advantage of the sunshine to sit out on your deck and get some fresh air. Still a bit chilly? That’s okay! A hearty crab and sausage soup – perhaps incorporating some spinach is a great way to upgrade the experience. Different spices and veggies will come together to create something fabulous.
