It had to come to this. After beating the Steelers last week in the wild card game, the Ravens are once again up against the Patriots. There’s no doubt that the Ravens defeat at the hands of the Patriots in the playoffs one year ago, at home no less, left a bad taste in the team’s mouth. But as fate would have it, the two teams have met again, and now it’s the Ravens who have a chance to take the win on the road.
It won’t be easy. The Ravens are just 3-8 against the Patriots all-time, including the playoffs. Most of the experts are picking New England to get the win. Only 2 of ESPN’s 13 analysts picked the Ravens to move on. The team is clearly the underdog (a 7-point underdog at that), but the Ravens have been there before.
We know the Ravens can do it, but they’re going to need all the support they can get.
