March Madness is in full swing here at Costas Inn, and we’ve loved watching the first few rounds of the tournament with you. Last night, 11 seed Dayton continued its run with a solid win over Stanford. They’ll move on to face Florida for a chance to make it to the final four. In the history of the tournament, only three 11 seeds have made it to the final four. LSU in 1986, George Mason in 2006, and VCU in 2011. Will Dayton be the fourth?
Or, will Tennessee be the fourth? An 11 seed themselves, Tennessee plays #2 Michigan tonight at 7:15 to kick off Friday’s games. Tonight’s lineup also features several traditional college basketball powerhouses, with Kentucky facing off against Louisville, and Michigan State playing #1 UVA. Despite their #4 seed, Louisville was favored by many to win the tournament, having won last year and returning 3 seniors. But Kentucky knocked off #1 Wichita State last round, who was previously undefeated. All in all, tonight is going to be a huge night in college basketball, so don’t miss it.
