NBA Finals
It has been a thrilling playoff season in the NBA. After the defending champion Spurs were knocked out in the first round on a buzzer-beater, the door was left open for a new champion to take the stage. And what more could you ask for than a matchup against two of the best players in the NBA right now?
LeBron James needs no introduction. After a 5 year stint in Miami, during which he netted 2 championship rings, the King has returned to bring the title home to Cleveland, a city which hasn’t had a professional sports championship title in half a century.
But 2015 NBA MVP Stephen Curry wants to bring the title home to the Golden State, and he and the Warriors are one step closer to realizing their goal after an overtime win in game one.

NHL Finals
The Tampa Bay Lightning had game 1 of the NHL Finals in their hands, only to lose it in the last 2 minutes of the game. The young Lighting, the decided underdogs of the series, are looking for their first Stanley Cup in more than a decade. The Blackhawks on the other hand have won twice in the past decade. Triple Crown
Thoroughbred American Pharaoh has the chance to make horse racing history tomorrow at the Belmont Stakes. If he gets the win, he’ll be the first horse to win the Triple Crown since Affirmed did it 37 years ago in 1978. After strong performances in the Derby and the Preakness, Pharoah is heavily favored to take home the crown, but the Belmont is certainly not a guarantee. Join us tomorrow for a 6:50 post time that could make history!
