Getting the Crabcakes Delivered on Time

Let’s say that the friends and family you grew up around have left Maryland. No matter where they live elsewhere in the US, you can still send them a little piece of home! The delicious crabcakes from your seafood destination are easy to dress up and make even more delicious. Getting the cakes ready for delivery on time depends on you working with us and being aware of our house policies. The sooner you get in touch with us, the sooner we can reach recipients who are much farther away than the next state over!

Useful Tips for Transporting Them Yourself

Of course, you can always try transporting the crabcakes on your own. Even so, we recommend that you leave this task to your friends here at Costas Inn. Taking the cakes with you when you need to hit the highway to reach the other side of Baltimore County for a family gathering doesn’t need to be a risky endeavor. Be sure to keep them in a cooler bag or another refrigerated container. Depending on how many cakes you want to transport, you may need a refrigerated trailer instead. Aluminum foil and plastic wrap will also help ensure maximum freshness. Packing the crabs in styrofoam boxes can also maintain a pleasing shape without damaging the layers. Another idea to preserve the cakes while in transit is to use dry ice. However, when you need to handle this substance, follow some simple safety guidelines – it’s common sense to use goggles and gloves to protect yourself!
