Celebrate National Margarita Day at Baltimore Seafood Restaurant!

Pucker up and take a sip of a tangy but sweet margarita, because it’s National Margarita Day. Supposedly originating in the late 1940s, the margarita is traditionally made with tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and garnished with a bit of salt, but mixologists everywhere innovate upon that base to create other flavorful fruit-based cocktails. Its versatility can be attributed to its great base, which follows the 2-1-1 cocktail rule.

No one knows exactly who the genius that dreamed up the margarita is, but legend has it that a socialite from Dallas named Margaret “Margarita” Sames served them in 1948 at a party in her Acapulco vacation home.

Though it might not yet be vacation season, we won’t turn down the opportunity to heat things up a little by sipping on some margaritas. You’d better bet we’re celebrating National Margarita Day at Costas Inn: we’re offering a $5 special on Golden Margaritas all night long, and we’ve got live music to keep you buzzing: Shades of Grey will be playing from 9:00 pm – 1:00 am. So come join us and celebrate what’s sure to soon be the beginning of warmer weather – after all, the Groundhog didn’t see his shadow, so spring is sure to be on its way soon.
