Seafood is a favorite type of dish beloved by many. Oysters, in particular, are a dish that many people love to order up when in the mood for seafood, especially considering the health benefits that come along with oysters. What many people love and value about oysters is the versatility that the dish provides you when picking how you want to prepare and serve it. Keep reading and discover three common ways to prepare oysters.

Raw

Raw oysters, also known as on the half shell, is one way you could prepare your oysters. If you are a connoisseur of oysters, you will know that is the best way to taste the differences among the different types of oysters. Freshly shucking raw oysters will best allow you to explore all the subtle tastes that oysters have to offer. Also, if you add a few lemon slices to pair with your oysters on the half shell, you will find that you are surely in for a treat.  

Fried

It is hard to argue against the amazing taste of any food that is fried. From chicken to fries, fried food is delicious, and oysters are no exception. You can fry up any type of oyster; however, many people believe that Gulf Coast oysters are your best option for this preparation.

Grilled

When the summer comes back around, if you are in search of a new dish to add to your backyard cookout, look no further that grilled oysters. You will soon learn that it is extremely easy to cook and prepare oysters when grilling them. As a matter of fact, oysters may be one of the easiest dishes to grill. All you have to do is throw them on the grill as is, and then take them off and shuck them once the shells begin to pop. You can also pair these grilled oysters with any of the condiments you have already put out and serve for other foods at your cookout, such as hot sauce.
